Hello, Spring!
Well, at least some days. If you missed the March Family Connection and Engagement Zoom, there will be another one coming up and we’ll post it here. On March 12, four families from WA, four from Oregon and one from Idaho joined a Zoom call with WA, OR and ID DeafBlind Projects. We learned about each family and topics families would like to discuss.
2024 Annual DeafBlind Child Count is happening!
The big news is that we have a new online database! No more snail mail paper packets. From now on, every year from Feb-April, early support agency staff and school district staff will update a child or student’s information through an online system we call the “DeafBlind Child Count Portal.” This annual child count is a key federal grant activity, as it gives us an accurate count and demographics to share with the National Center on DeafBlindness (NCDB). For more on the WA DeafBlind Child Count, see our website.
Some families and co-workers have asked, so I’ll take the opportunity to say I’ve recovered from my surprise surgery and have been back at work with renewed gratitude for good health and family.
Daffodils and tulips are brightening the path, and we’re still here… growing.
